Where measuring stations have to be installed?

I live close to a busy road, but know nothing about the pollution of particulate matter. Is there a way to set up measuring point.

The law doesn’t regulate where exactly a station has to be installed. 22. Federal Emission Control Act just stipulates that measuring stations have to be installed where pollution is the highest. The sampling sites for traffic for particulate matter, lead and benzene should be representative for the air quality in the city. The Measuring instruments shall be placed in a way that air quality is measured close to buildings where people live or work. On the basis of these requirements you can confront the competent administrative authorities on the spot, if there are no measures yet or if the stations are installed in a wrong place.
